I recently went to Cabo to celebrate not one, but TWO friend’s joint bachelorette party (which if you follow me on social media I’m sure you saw since I blew it up with Mexican celebration pics!). We stayed in a palace of a house and enjoyed 4 days of fresh margaritas, guacamole, sunning, massages, and karaoke but I’ll save all those deets for a different post so look out for some majorly amazing before the ring party ideas!
One of the highlights of the trip though was our visit to Flora Farms. Since it was my first time in Cabo, I didn’t really know what to expect but I knew it was gorgeous from pictures and word of mouth and thanks to People mag, I knew Adam Levine got married there so whatever it was, it was likely not only stunning but a quality place.
Driving up it looked like a little oasis in the middle of the desert. Surrounding was the typical Mexican, hot terrain but there was this beautiful, gated land of greenery peeping out from the walls. We were welcomed with some fantastic cocktails that were refreshing in the hot sun but also unique and gorgeous. All of us girls were dressed pretty colorfully so these drinks in our hands just helped to complete our outfits a bit more. ;o)
One of the brides’ sister planned and treated us to this amazing event and she set it up for us to take a tour of the grounds. So as a bit of background, Flora Farms is 25 acres of land that sells meat, produce, canned goods, and artisanal foods that are all raised, grown, baked, or cooked on the land. There are cottages, shops, restaurants, bars, eateries on the property that serve fresh, delicious meals for guests to enjoy. What’s more, the surrounding and atmosphere are not only authentic feeling but relaxing, tranquil, trendy, and simply breathtaking.
We all felt like princesses while eating there in the most quaint and charming patio area complete with mason jars, chandeliers, and sofas while enjoying excellent service and fresh, healthy, delicious food. When you eat quesadillas all day while drinking cervezas in the sun, your body craves greens (vaca problems) so I was thrilled to be able to eat some veggies that were freshly grown!
Along with a gorgeous salad, there was a delicious charcuterie board and fresh homemade bread with homemade whipped butter that no adjective is good enough for. After that we were given an array of fresh, thin crust pizzas where the dough was beyond and toppings were creative and mouthwatering. There was also a roast chicken that was to die for and we had plenty of red wine to help wash our meal down.
We chatted and enjoyed our meal as our wine glasses were never once empty and the hot area combined with the soothing breeze from the fans engulfed us. It was not only Pinterest-worthy, it was downright romantic. To top it off, we had a fresh, beautiful cake to complete the dinner and the whole night was amazing. I absolutely would love to go back one day with Jason as I think these two foodies would enjoy exploring the menu even more and this girl would appreciate the dreamy setting with my favorite guy.
