Merry Christmas Eve everyone! OR Happy Holidays! Whatever you prefer, celebrate, are doing this time of year, I hope you are enjoying yourself and spending time with the people you love!
I’m so happy to be home with my family, cooking, eating, relaxing, and exchanging presents. Not to mention, the return of Santa into our home since my niece and nephew have come along. It has added quite a bit more Christmas magic the last couple of years!
There are so many things to celebrate this time of year but I am so happy to share one more thing that I am so happy to close the year out with. :o)
Recently, I met and asked my blog girl crush Amanda from Advice From a Twenty Something out for drinks for advice on blog life and also just to chat. You’re never too old to make new friends and one of the best parts of blogging in a big, beautiful city is all the wonderful people and new friends you meet! I’m not always surrounded by people who have similar creative passions so it’s fun to be with people who can relate. (Blogs and social media have really been fantastic portals of opportunity for all us creatives out there who find making a career out of our passions to be a wee bit more difficult).
Amanda is kickass and knows a lot and she very sweetly invited me to be a part of her latest project with her friend/photographer Andrea Posadas. They gathered a group of San Francisco bloggers together and found a beautiful venue in the Financial District for us to set up a gorgeous holiday dinner. We got our make up done by Alex from Bare Minerals and Urban Outfitters dressed us. There were so many fantastic vendors and creatives in one room – it was a blast! Not to mentin the food, provided by Whole Foods, was delicious!
It didn’t stop there as we were featured in two articles on The Everygirl which is one of my favorite online media publications. (Check them out here and here). The experience helped make my December a little bit sweeter and has a been an exciting turning point for my blog. Jenna Rose Colored Glasses is a little over a year old and so many friends, connections, changes have happened in such a short amount of time. I have learned SO much and am continuing to do so. I’m very excited to have more news and features in the next year to share with you all! It’s been one of the most fun endeavors and learning experiences so without further ado, please check out some of the gorgeous pictures from the day as well as the article links above. Also, be sure to check out all the other amazing bloggers/friends and the talented vendors who helped pull this project together!
I hope this gives some décor inspiration to you neophyte holiday hosts (and you experienced ones too!) today while you prepare for your guests. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! :o)
Of course you first need adorable invitations. Go ahead and make it an official gathering in the cutest way possible
It’s simply not a party with the right make up and outfits.
Must decorate with warm, cozy, rustic touches and lots of greenery!
Cocktails for all! Gotta serve the guests well!
And you know me, it is simply just not a party without yummy food and desserts!
Wonderful job to everyone involved! Check out all this talent!
