Summer Reading: Go Set a Watchman

I’ve always loved books and there are a few that have had stories that have grabbed at me and stayed with me; My Sister’s Keeper, The Lovely Bones, Water For Elephants, Of Mice and Men, The Great Gatsby and of course, maybe the King of them all in my book, To Kill a Mockingbird.

I will never forget how I felt when I read that book in my English class Freshman year. It was so beautifully written and the story itself broke my heart into a million pieces in sad, happy and thoughtful ways. So I’m excited that almost thirteen years later, I’ll be visiting these amazing characters once more and learning their untold story.

I’m so excited to do a book review on it once I finish it, until then, happy reading to me! If you loved To Kill a Mockingbird as much as I did, go out and read it and let me know your thoughts. I would love to hear them!┬áSummer really is the best time to dive into a new book so take advantage! I’ll be sharing some other good reads with you soon too!

  • With so much controversy over Go Set A Watchman, I haven’t decided if I want to pick it up yet! Will look forward to your review (: I love My Sister’s Keeper and The Lovely Bones too, such impactful stories!

    • I know what you mean but I loved those characters so much, my curiosity can’t handle a boycott! Haha I’ll keep you updated though! And gosh I loved those books too! I cried on a plane reading My Sister’s Keeper and The Lovely Bones is so sad but there’s no other book with a perspective like that I’ve read since!
